The NJ TRANSIT Government & Community Relations team would like to make you and your constituents aware of a wide variety of open positions we are recruiting for throughout the state.

Bus Operator & Operations Roles – Our Surface Transit group operates hundreds of bus lines across the state and seeks applicants for various bus driver, bus mechanic, and serviceperson positions. We are currently offering up to a $6,000 signing bonus for CDL license holders (and $3,000 for CDL permit holders).

Mechanics & Facilities Positions – We are always recruiting and hiring qualified talent to maintain, repair, and manage our vehicles and facilities. There are many available positions across our rail, bus, light rail, and paratransit business lines listed on www.njtransit.com/careers.

NJ TRANSIT Police Department – The NJTPD will begin accepting new police officer candidate applications on Monday, January 31^st at 9 AM, via www.policeapp.com/njtpd. We are seeking a diverse pool of 2,000 qualified applicants to take the spring police examination for a significant number of open positions in the department.

Corporate Positions – We are actively recruiting for a wide variety of corporate and office positions in our Newark headquarters and other locations, including careers in Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Customer Service, Engineering, Capital Projects, and Procurement.
