On Tuesday, October 4th a group of military veterans traveled from Monroe Township to Washington D.C. The group was transported by South Jersey Honor Flight organization. This non-profit organization provides transportation for veterans who are unable to visit the memorials built for them and their fallen brothers and sisters in our nation’s capital.
The Aura Police Department coordinated with Elk’s 3 Fire Companies: Aura, Ferrell and Lawns, Aura Elementary School and the Elk Municipal staff to show our support to our amazing veterans as they passed through Elk. We thank Sheriff John Sammons for attending and all who braved the cold and wet to show our support
